What is unique about this project is that it will actually be entirely written in Namari. Its title will be <em>Five to Save the World<\/em> (Namari: \u3088\u304a\u3000\u305d\u304f\u304a\u3000\u305f\u3093\u3000\u3048\u3064\u3064 <em>Y\u014d Sokuo tan Etutu<\/em>, Japanese: \u4e16\u754c\u3092\u6551\u3046\u305f\u3081\u306b\u4e94\u3064 <em>Sekai wo Sukuu Tame ni Itsutsu<\/em>), and it will follow five pairs of sisters (aged nine and ten in Earth years) as they try to save everyone in their world from a strange force that &#8220;froze&#8221; them by venturing into another world.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So far, I only have the beginning planned, and I haven&#8217;t even decided whether to have the beginning set in Japan or Namari. However, it will be split into five parts, with an as-yet-unspecified number of chapters. The parts are named as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Part 1: Spring (Namari: <em>Payu<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Part 2: Summer (Namari: <em>Natu<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Part 3: Mid-Year (Namari: <em>Nakadoshi<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Part 4: Autumn (Namari: <em>Aki<\/em>)<\/li>\n<li>Part 5: Winter (Namari: <em>Pui<\/em>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you haven&#8217;t figured it out, the number five features quite prominently in the story. Five pairs of sisters, five &#8220;processes&#8221;, and so on. Each pair of sisters represents a Chinese classical element (which are really &#8220;processes&#8221; rather than &#8220;elements&#8221;), and the part names also allude to the elements.<\/p>\n<p>So far, I&#8217;ve only conceived of the main cast, the five pairs of sisters:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kohaku and F\u016bka Konohana (Namari: \u3053\u306e\u306f\u306a \u3053\u309a\u3071\u304d (3), \u3053\u306e\u306f\u306a \u3075\u30fc\u304b (1); Japanese: \u6728\u30ce\u82b1 \u7425\u73c0, \u6728\u30ce\u82b1 \u98a8\u9999)<\/li>\n<li>Himari and Moe Himiya (Namari: \u3072\u307f\u3084 \u3072\u307e\u3048 (1-n), \u3072\u307f\u3084 \u3082\u3048 (1); Japanese: \u706b\u5bae \u3072\u307e\u308a, \u706b\u5bae \u3082\u3048)<\/li>\n<li>Sora and Ruri Chihama (Namari: \u3062\u306f\u307e \u305d\u3084 (1), \u3062\u306f\u307e \u308b\u3044 (1); Japanese: \u5730\u6d5c \u305d\u3089, \u5730\u6d5c \u7460\u7483)<\/li>\n<li>Hikaru and Suzu Kanahashi (Namari: \u304b\u306a\u306f\u3057 \u3072\u304b\u3086 (1), \u304b\u306a\u306f\u3057 \u3059\u305a (1); Japanese: \u91d1\u6a4b \u3072\u304b\u308b, \u91d1\u6a4b \u3059\u305a)<\/li>\n<li>Umie and Yukiho Mizumachi (Namari: \u3081\u3065\u307e\u3061 \u304a\u307f\u3091 (1), \u3081\u3065\u307e\u3061 \u3088\u304d\u307b (1); Japanese: \u6c34\u753a \u6d77\u6075, \u6c34\u753a \u96ea\u5e06)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Note that the Namari names are associated with a number; this is the declensional class (1: first declension, 1-n: first declension with <em>-e<\/em> changing to <em>-in<\/em> in the dative, 3: third declension). Also, there are slight differences between the Namari and Japanese names; traditionally translations use the Japanese names, although some Namari names are ambiguous (e.g. \u308b\u3044 <em>Rui<\/em> can refer either to Japanese <em>Rui<\/em> or <em>Ruri<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>In order, the sisters represent Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water. Each girl also has a specific element in which she specialises:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Kohaku: Thunder<\/li>\n<li>F\u016bka: Wind (also includes plants)<\/li>\n<li>Himari: &#8220;Bomb&#8221; (explosions, basically)<\/li>\n<li>Moe: Fire<\/li>\n<li>Sora: Heaven (things like meteors)<\/li>\n<li>Ruri: Earth<\/li>\n<li>Hikaru: Light<\/li>\n<li>Suzu: Metal<\/li>\n<li>Umie: Water<\/li>\n<li>Yukiho: Ice<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The magic system of this story resembles that of <em>Innocence Seekers<\/em>, although it is not identical.
