Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light Character Introduction – Yayoi Miyana

Over the next few weeks, I will be posting bios for the characters of Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light, an entry of Innocence Seekers: The Black Rose. I have already posted two entries, that of Akari Kuritani, and that of Michiru Kurosawa. This will be the third of these posts, detailing another of Akari’s friends, Yayoi.

Yayoi is a character in Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light and one of Akari’s friends. Like Akari, she was born and raised in the Kingdom of Namari. Yayoi is an outgoing girl, however, when she was younger, she often bullied Michiru.

Yayoi is the third of five sisters. Her older sisters are Mutsuki and Kisaragi, while her younger sisters are Uzuki and Satsuki. Yayoi admires her older sisters, who, like Yayoi, are Innocents, and she cares deeply for her younger sisters. However, she was often ignored by her parents (as was Kisaragi), due to being neither the oldest (Mutsuki) nor the youngest (initially Uzuki, later Satsuki). As an Innocent, or magical girl, Yayoi possesses powers few can even attain. However, this means she will be thrust into battle at an early age, just like her older sisters. While this does not worry Yayoi much, she is concerned about her younger sisters with regards to this.

Yayoi’s Inherent Ability is Follower, which, when activated, grants all of her attacks the ability to hit her targets without fail. Should a target try to evade Yayoi’s attacks when this ability is activated, her attacks will not only follow the target, but pick up speed (and there is no limit to the amount of momentum her attacks can have, meaning they can reach very close to the speed of light). In gameplay, this will manifest as a status effect which gives all of Yayoi’s attacks 100 per cent accuracy (regardless of HIT, SPD or any status effects or buffs/debuffs), and adds the target’s SPD to Yayoi’s ATK/INT in the damage equation.
