Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light Character Introduction – Inori Akagawa

This will be my final bio for Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light, as there will only be eight playable characters for the game. The final playable character is Inori. Now that the characters’ bios are posted, I will focus on developing the battle system to be used for the game.

Inori is a character in Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light. Like Mirai, she was born in Japan. At a glance, it seems that Inori always keeps to herself, never getting out of her way to socialise with others. However, she does not mind speaking to others who want to befriend her, and can actually be quite talkative. While she seems soft-spoken, she is not afraid to speak her mind. When the situation calls for it, she will stand up for others.

While Inori’s immediate family is known (she has three brothers, and her mother is still alive as of Innocence Seekers: Akari of the Light), her ancestry is not as well known. Inori herself states that she is the descendant of a historical magical girl named Tomoyo, but she and her mother refuse to go into detail about her ancestors. Outside of her immediate family, she has a second cousin (Benio, who also happens to be Akari’s second cousin, although from the other parent’s side), and seems to know that Akari herself is a distant cousin. Her friends include Sumire, who was Inori’s first friend at Mimori Elementary School, and Mirai. She also has Hiyori as a penfriend.

Inori’s Inherent Ability is Red Steel, which, when activated, grants her powerful defensive capabilities, as well as the ability to break through barriers, shields and other defences as if they did not exist in the first place. However, it rapidly drains her mana and can only be activated in Full Burst mode. In gameplay, this manifests as a special status effect which reduces damage taken down to five per cent normal damage (or 12.5 per cent the amount of damage expected in Full Burst mode). It also grants Inori’s attacks the Pierce attribute, which makes them ignore barriers, shields, field effects which reduce damage (including effects granted by the battle grid itself), DEF/RES buffs (but not debuffs) and elemental resistances (but not weaknesses). However, while the status effect is active, Inori’s MP is reduced by five per turn, in addition to the one per turn lost while in Full Burst mode.

P.S. にっこにっこにー♪ (Yes, it’s Nico Yazawa’s birthday today.)
